Spent some time yesterday (Sunday, 3/2) at opening day. Relatively small quantity of goods. Snagged 2 dress shirts (Isaia and Zegna), 3 ties and a pair of Zegna (probably by Ferragamo) shoes. Was really looking for suit. Mostly the usual HF (many with Nordstrom labels), Boss, D&G stuff. A couple of Zegna's. Saw 2 Isaia's I loved but wife hated them, so that was the end of that. Definite knowledgeable crowd there as several guys I saw were looking specifically for Brioni, Oxxford and Isaia. A nicer selection of sport jackets. Some of the casual stuff was so way out as to be comic. The service at Grapevine Mills NM was, as usual, superb.

Shoe selection was very poor. I opted for the Zegna lace-ups; there was one Berlutti monk in a US 8.5 for $500. Otherwise, lots of Cole Haan junk.

Thats what I was afraid of. Usually the summer sale has a better selection of shoes. Thanks for the info...

Here lately the shoe selection @ NM Last Call is getting to look like Off Saks 5th Ave., a lot of cheap sh*t. Last week I was @ the NM Last Call north of Detroit. They had mostly Cole Haan, K Cole and some Donald Pliner shoes.

the one at the Allen Premium Outlets north of Dallas has the same selection shoe wise with the occasional Paul Smith and Prada pair thrown in. In other words, stuff not worth your money generally, even at discount. SF has ruined me.

Grapevine's customer service is superb. It is the largest volume seller of any of the LastCall men's depts and was rewarded with the recent expansion.

Save the drive to San Marcos. NM is not sending better shoes down here.
