Depends on the sneakers and your overall objective. Unless you're doing this for a living or a major side hustle and you've invested in multiple pairs, the ROI for "holding" sneakers probably isn't worth it unless you have the most hyped of the hyped (Chunky Dunky, OW4s). It can also bite you ********** on occasion. I decided to hold my Travis 6s, and after almost a year, they still haven't even come back up to the price point they were selling at right after release.
Thanks for the advice! It’s just a pair here and there, most everything I get is for me and I’m not really trying to start a side business.

My GOAT seller account was processed so I’ll try that this week.

Agreed, peak hype is typically right after release. I get it that most people will be selling theirs too, so supply will be high but so will demand.

The Cactus AF1 broke that site big time. The captchas kept bugging out for me. Possibly even worse launch than the Union AJ4 the other day. Smaller shops like that need to understand what a spike of traffic does to a site - maybe let those launches happen on Snkrs or use lotteries?.... idk, but the whole hot-drop-breaks-the-internet shtick is getting tired. I have no problem losing out on lotteries but I find it really annoying to get stuck on site that don't for 30 minutes (or hours in case of the Union drop).

@gdl203 yea i don't think those small shops are equipped to deal with a traffic spike of release and all the bots. Ubiqlife had aj4 off-white (the women's ones) on their site and i couldn't submit my info to enter into the raffle, super annoying. I almost give up on things outside of undefeated (still haven't won there but my friends have), the dark side initiative (won multiple times here) and snkrs (i win on occasion).

I got lucky with the union LA drop but they still haven't shipped the noir. I won't a 13 sadly so hopefully i can do a sole swap somewhere for an 11.5 if not whatever i'll take some cash and buy something interesting.
