1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

My white flyknit chukka are still super white, unless you're clumsy or gonna go rolling in shit, they're shouldn't be an issue.

Plus flyknit is super easy to wash.
I bought two pairs of the White for me, debating the royals still.

flyknit could probably just tossed inside a pillow case and then to the washer in cold and it'll come out good as new

love all whites but I kind of wish the sole on those were a gum sole

Yeah I've put flyknit a in the washing machine without a pillow case and they've been fine.

    Yep. laces and insole out.
For my chukkas I used to just put them in a bucket of hot water with some dish soap and soak them for an hour, then rub any marks with a cloth and rinse them.
I stopped doing that though because the sole kind of absorbs the water and starts wearing out a lot quicker.
My beaters still go in the wash but the rest I just spot clean with a damp cloth if they start looking horrible, but for the most part I think worn shoes look better anyway.
Flyknits are extremely easy to clean, just don't use a brush.

had ordered 4.0 free flyknits but toe box big and bloated

3.0s fit a lot better but still cushy, shit is nowhere near barefoot or any thinner than 5.0s

I've been enjoying the cushioning of the Lunar Epics. Really different from the rotation of Free's I usually run in. Feels like I'm jogging on a pair of trampolines.

^^^ just search Instagram and you'll see on foot pics. They have enough shape to them with the heel tab and everything else that they don't look like socks.

Does anybody know if Europe has additional pieces in the Nikelab essentials collection? All I see on the US site for pants are a tech fleece essential but some European shops are getting something called "essential 7/8 pant" that is like a slim, cropped trouser style.
    EDIT: Here - http://www.thenextdoor.fr/en/nike-lab-essentials-7-8-pant-navy.html

They have definitely strayed away from the barefoot feel of Frees, most of them are real cushioned these days.

Have you tried the Metcons, they feel more barefoot than the Frees. I think the barefoot trainers have been pretty much replaced by the Trainer 1.0s.

And speaking of Metcons, pics of the 3s has leaked though it could just be a sample.

The 1.0s are too flat, I mean I get it but I don't like how they look.

I'm actually using my chucks for the gym and it's working out nicely.

I'm prob returning my free mercurials. Wanted these for the longest time, but now that I have em they don't do it for me oddly enough. Think it may be the free sole. Also $200 for a pair of Nike's is steep.

Really want to try a pair of these. Not super crazy about any of the colorways. The Gyakusous are sort of cool.

I got black and just blacked out the swoosh with a permanent marker. Looks pretty clean now, I think. They are selling these everywhere so a few are bound to hit outlets eventually if you just want to try the sole for running.
