I'm with you. I always thought the frees were good but I've been using lunar montreals as my gym shoe for the past year. When i got my inneva woven frees, I was shocked with how uncomfortable the free sole felt in comparison to the lunar sole. I don't think I could go back to the frees for running.

Never tried lunar sole just looks way too chonky for my tastes and in my size but I can't imagine anything more comfortable than the free sole shit feels like walking on marshmallows.

Never had a pair of free's as everyone and their dog has a pair, but lunars are insanely comfortable, almost NB level of comfort.

I love my frees too and have worn only free stuff for the past 3 years. My frees have been relegated to work only after wearing my Lunar1 flyknit multis though. I actually just bought an electric green pair as well. They're the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned.

I struggle to put anything else on my feet because my Free's are so comfortable.

As comfortable as the free sole is though, the lunar 1 is just a whole other level of cushioning. More cushioned might not mean more comfortable to everyone though. I can see how people who have good mechanics and prefer more road feel would not prefer lunars

I dig them. I've had my eye on a pair for a while but I wasn't about to campout at a nike sportswear store so when I saw sneaker politics had a pair in my size last week and a great color way I nabbed them. Obviously I won't be running or working out in them picked them up for causal wear. They fit insanely well tighter then my other frees for sure. I also love that the nike symbol isn't posted up on the side even though it is a very organic symbol.

From the owner of Sneakers N Stuffs blog, the last part may interest some of you.

So now that the flyknit frees have been out for a while, is there anyone who's been using them for the past month that can offer a good review of them? Are they completely unwearable with socks? Better than any other iteration of the frees that have been released recently?

Tried these on in Niketown...interesting. I will wait until they go on sale and kop...not worth the $160 when i need a real pair of running shoes.

I've been running in them 10 or so times and am still really liking them. The only other Frees I've run in were on the 4.0 sole so I can't give a very useful comparison. The uppers definitely feel more "locked down," which I like. I always wear them with socks.
