http://bit.ly/xiGeId <<< for those interested this is the best video I've seen of Cabourn, he comes across as quite a humble guy which I don't think you allways get to see.

can anyone please give me an S2S measurement for a 48 mallory? the charts i've found on the net vary a lot...
for reference, i'm a broad-shouldered 38"/39" chest, would anyone recommend the 48 or should i size up?
    thanks!

I'm a true 38, I tried both the 48 and 50 in the Mallory. Both fit me quite well. The 48 had a slimmer fit which I liked better, but the 50 was more comfortable and had space for layering. If you're a "broad-shouldered 38"/39" chest", I might recommend the 50. The shoulders are fairly slim on the Mallory.

I like the coat named for Scott himself although I don't know how much wear I'd get out of it - it's very much a naval uniform.

For those interested in Scott's expedition I can thoroughly recommend Apsley Cherry-Garrard's "The Worst Journey in the World".

Great coat, but would feel I would need to be on a ship / submarine to rock it.
