Harris is great for snow - it's also surprisingly showerproof, but if it gets truly soaked can be a pig to dry and you'll probably have people asking what the funny smell is :)

Just bought the Cabourn fair isle v-neck sweater, in 48. It's the darker color. Not sure if I'll be keeping it, never worn Cabourn before and unsure of the fit. If not, you guys get first dibs and a healthy cut under retail. NWOT

    cheers

Hi! I wonder if any of you have any experience with the duffle jacket from last year (aw11)? I shouldn't tell you about ebay items I know, but there's one out there now. Size 48. I have the aircraft jacket + a submarine sweater in sz. 50, do you think a 48 would be too small for me? I'm 185 cm tall, 40 inches chest. Appreciate any help.

    Great picture!

I have a blue mallory and am looking for a nice tweed cap to go with it. Any suggestions?

Thanks. This Harris Tweed cap from Locke & Co is what I have. If you can find someone around here who is a MR PORTER founding member, maybe they can order it for you for half off.

Someone who is a 48(38) should go buy that Mallory that is on sale at Context. You won't find a better price, and that navy tweed is stunning in person.

no kidding, that price is excellent. I wish they had a 52...I can't really afford it but I'd find a way, I love that jacket.

Just wondering if anyone has tried on the King George coat. All the Cabourn jackets I have are in a size 50 and most fit fairly well (outside the aircraft which is huge). All the online stores have the pit to pit at 21 inches which seems very slim fitting, the 52 is 22 inches.. The model on ll-cc is wearing a 48 and it looks to small for him although not as bad as the 46 cameraman did last year.

I have a King George coat. I'm usually a medium, but cabourn runs a little big on me. I have a 48 and ti fits like a glove.

Might try to grab a 50 in the sales, they are not to far off now. I have a cameraman in army from last year but I am still very tempted.
