The Nigel Cabourn blog has instructions on that here
^Ah, that's it. Personally, I'm not much of a fan of the 'After'.
Coggles has 15% off coats and jackets through the 30th. Use code WARMTH. Lots of Cabourn there.
For what its worth zissou, I think it looks good as is. Its hard to tell while wearing jeans, but jackets traditionally sized always look a little big while wear slim denim. Can I ask what size it is? I think we wear the same size in cameraman.
Yeah, I'll wear it a few times before taking it to the tailor. I wear a 50 in both jackets.
Heavy Tweeds take a fair bit of wear to soften and conform to you. Getting caught in a couple of rain showers helps!
I'm usually a 38" chest. Would a Mallory in a size 48 be an appropriate size for me?
Further, does anyone have P2P, S2S, length and sleeve pit to cuff for a Mallory 46 and 48?
Thanks for reading.
^Actual chest of 38"? I'm an actual chest of 39", and a 50 is good for wearing with a couple layers. I think your sizing depends more on your shoulders, since the shoulders of the jacket seem to be a little narrow compared to the rest of the cut.
^ Actual chest size is 37"
You'd probably be ok with a 48, but again, you should also check the shoulders. I prefer shirts with s-s of ~18.5", and 50 is just right.
I may get the 48 in the Navy. If like yours, it turns out to need taking in, is this an easy job for the tailor, with the ventile?
What do you mean? Taking a jacket in at the waist is a pretty standard alteration and the ventile cotton is only on the shoulders and elbows.
Make sure you check out the places having sales. I think End, Superdenim, and ...can't remember the third UK shop... are all having 20% off right now.
Does anyone have the fucking geddes? Can't find that shit anywhere.
