Heard they fit big and u should size down done. Still on the boat about pulling the trigger on one. Wondering if it can hold up as a decent shell for FALL. Also the whole re-waxing thing kinda worries me, is bees wax easy to get and re apply on the jacket?

According to oi polloi:

50 = Medium = approx. 38/40" chest52 = Large = approx. 42" chest54 = XLarge = approx. 44" chest

But still a 50 is 24 inches pit to pit, which seems like a lot.

Like I said they fit big. Think a couple of people picked up the jacket and sized down 1

clausc: How tall are you? Saw you wrote earlier that you got the aircraft jacket in 48 and that you're the same chest size as me, 40.
Anyone seen the green 48 still for sale?

I'm 1.82 m, chest 39-40 and the sleeves are the perfect length in 48

I would feel most comfortable with a 48 really, but seems they're all gone in green colour.

One thing to bear in mind about the Aircraft is it tapers more quickly than most jackets do, so don't be worried by the pit-pit sounding a bit much. By pocket level, a 50 is down to 22" across.

Need your opinion guys -
So I got the Cabourn naval pants on the cheap. They are white, so I am dying them for sure (although I haven't decided on the color...any thoughts?). I tried wearing them, and they are pretty damn "relaxed". I know I could tailor them...but what do you think If I made them into shorts? Stupid idea or an alright idea?
