There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Classic :D. Can you imagine a Cabourn Trigger hitting the stores.

It's almost like this Engineered Garments Forest Coat. Or the Delboy in other words. There's a Deffo Only Fools and Horses trend this winter.

Need money fast- would any of you want a brand new, sz50 Nigel Cabourn Coastal command shearling jacket (brown/orange hood version)? I'd be asking 950 GBP + shipping via Paypal gift or 4% more via invoice.

dont know what type of trouser I should go with to my navy fox flannel business jacket to get a casual look, I have a pair of formal pants but in another fabric that doesnt look great together with the fox flannel. Any suggestions?

Have to back MaChemist up here, this is not good business etiquette - it show quite a lot of contempt for the customer.

From a commercial point of view it probably looks quite astute but to risk losing the equity of good will you've built up in your brand, it could be costly.

I know. The reason is I'm in a hurry, could probably easily sell it for 1200 GBP deeper into the season.

I am just curious whether anyone of you had any bad experiences with a Nigel Cabourn product before?

I bought a WW2 shorts this spring and the piece practically fell apart after a couple of months use. Washed it carefully according to the washing instructions(and very seldom), but its difficult to conclude otherwise than that the product was of a really bad quality.

When thats said i have both the Aircraft and the Mallory jacket which is truly beautiful and the quality seems outstanding.

Any thoughts/experiences on this issue? You see any tendencies that for example the outerwear generally is of a better quality than for example shorts and shirts?

I only have outwear, and have to grab a reversible shirt from my maibox in the US. Other then that I don't have much experience, but I think overall people have been happy with NC product, but I'm sure there are misses sometimes.

Yeah like any process a bad piece might slip through. This could be a bad batch of thread that's easily missed or some cloth that's just a bit weaker than usual. I have had so many Cabourn pieces over the years and they are built to last.
Even so, their customer service is also outstanding. I'm sure if you talked to them they'd listen to your concerns and help where they could.

Strangely enough the worst problem I've had were also shorts - they were the Bombay Bloomer shorts from SS11

Loose threads on buttons not properly finished off and the stitching on the belt loops was pretty poor

Other than that again from SS11 my Work Pocket jacket in linen had ropey stitched button holes - where the butcher buttons went through holes - the stitching around the holes was poor

It took me a whole evenings work to restitch and finish off

Everything else - roughly about 40 Authentic and mainline garments are next to perfect - I think I've only had one button come off a coat after I got it caught

I do occasionally just cut a few threads which are a left too long after finishing off

But that's the Beauty of small batch hand finished garments

Why would you go to the trouble of re-finishing a jacket you spent quite a bit of money on? I would send it back and I certainly would not enthuse about this being the beauty of small batch hand finished garments. If anything that makes it more unforgivable.

Once as I was sewing a button back onto a tweed mallory the others began falling gently off like autumn leaves. It was a melancholy moment. I could've written a haiku.

Other than that only a busted snap on an aircraft jacket which the shop fixed free of charge.

Because it was the only one in my size outside of Japan so it couldn't be replaced - I would just get my money back
