Green Oxford cricket jacket
Cabourn Ventile Anorak arrived at Independence today and got to check it out freshly opened from the box.
Detailing with the taped seams is too good. Never really looked into Nigel Cabourn's stuff, but after this i'm definitely interested.
yeah cabourn is a ripoff and marrkt is just testing. They'll drop prices another 2-3 time before anyone will even consider.
Can't let that last post hang for much longer so -
Great news ! (in James May Top Gear style) - 'Present' are offering a fairly whopping 15% off online orders with the code EXTRA15
Also has anyone noticed that the Bosey boot NC collaboration with Converse tab has been removed on the Cabourn website? This either means it's imminent or there is a problem/delay - they were expected to go on release around now.
Has anyone heard anything?
I have admit that I am a bit disappointed with the Cabourn website and customer service. This past winter was my first season with Cabourn and I am extremely happy with my Crazy Mallory and Crazy Cameraman. At the start of the Spring season I emailed and inquired about the size and fitting of the Notch Camo Jacket (which I ultimately purchased). To this day I never received a reply. About 10 days ago I inquired via the online store about the Camo Aircraft jacket and asked if it was available to purchase even though I reside in the USA. To this day still no reply. That is two times. What is the purpose of having a link for customer service and not replying to simple questions? It is not like they are busy selling 10,000 pieces of each jacket. Bizarre if you ask me.
Did anyone pick up items from Barney's Warehouse Nigel Cabourn section:
I take a medium from barneys is a size 50.
sorry when barneys says small is that 48 or 46?
Were Barney`s selling their shirts for $500+?!
That's unfortunate. The webshop has been a major disappointment so far. How hard can it be to reply to such simple questions much less set up Sagepay or PayPal?
According to them a small is a 48. Of course if it's not and even if they tell you it is, good luck getting them to take it back. I bought a pair of boots from them during the last warehouse sale and they weren't as pictured. They had me go to the trouble of taking a photo when I asked them to return them only for them to quote the fine print about something like "they may have flaws", etc. Now I'm fine with that and my mistake for not reading the fine print, but rather ridiculous making me send in a photo only to quote that bit in the end when they could have in the first place.
Anyway, just note that Barney's Warehouse is final sale for those of you outside the US who might not be familiar with the concept.
I've had Barneys send me the wrong stuff, too. Their CS is fantastic, when it's not final sale. I wouldn't buy a thing from Barneys Warehouse. Who knows what the hell you'll end up getting.
Yes, generally it shoudl be L-52 M-50 and S-48 and accordingly.
Yes spot on - I spoke to a lady in Barneys last year and what they called 'Small' was a 48 Cabourn.
Coggles do the same
They did have some X Small's in a year or two ago which were 46's.
Everything I seem to click on in the Barneys sale was an XS. Somebody got a great deal on the WW1 great coat that I have.
There's 2 roll necks listed there, is the more expensive jumper one of the limited edition ones? It too is only XS but I think I may jump on the other as they actually have my size.
They've also added a few more items, a tweed mallory vest and a cape cameraman.
Maybe someone here can help me. I really like the Mallory jacket and I'm saving up for one. I'm on the large size of a US XL - what size in the Mallory would I be looking for. Or are they just to much of a slim cut for me? Thanks
