I'm not sure if you are aware guys but Cabourn's 'official' online shop is up and running at last. Pricing is ridiculous of course :)
I like the new orange aircraft jacket, once the price is reasonable (50-60%) I'll be happy to grab it.

Have you seen the websites terms and conditions? Not responsible for loss of data, can change prices if prices are wrongly listed (who can prove that!?), can only use UK cards...etc. What I want to hear is whether UK orders have VAT taken off, and postage costs, not hundreds of terms from their lawyers protecting themselves.

Nope, I didn't read them as I assumed they are the usual stuff... but what you're saying proves otherwise...
That doesn't sound good. Under EU law you can always return stuff within 14 days from the moment you've received it, but it's always a hassle (and if I was non-EU based, I wouldn't even consider buying anything in these circumstances)...changing prices if they are wrongly listed- now that sounds really absurd :)

Wow, I wish some of the online shops would do a lucky bag sale. Great prices for Cabourn and the stuff you landed looks nice.

I have. Saw it last week or so. Ridiculous. Now personally I don't care so much about most of it, but I've never read anything like that.

I set up an account, but when I went through the checkout process I could only go so far. Wouldn't even let me put in my payment information, so it just seems like a poor set up.

Just an update - the big Bellerose shop at Place Stephanie has a small collection of Cabourn - the army shirts (tried on a 48 and it was a bit big for me), sweat jacket and some others.

They've also just opened up an outlet very close by that shop with the non-Bellerose brands. Apparently no Cabourn there though. Open wed/fri/sat from 2 onwards.

When I was in Flannels in Manchester, I asked why there were a few items from the AW12 collection and Scott Limited Edition Collection that never appeared on their website.

I was told that it was because they had fur around the hood so all their Cabourn Antarctic Parkas, Eddie Bower and Arctic smocks were never listed.

They were no longer on sale in the shop in Manchester and was told they have either gone back to Cabourn or might be in their outlet shop in the Lowry Centre in Manchester.

Might be worth a visit if someone is in Manchester

I see a "why" and subsequently a "because" but what follows does not by any stretch qualify as a reason...

I'm sure Cabourn will get their commerce site in order if they get some feedback about what isn't ok.

Sure would like one of the crazy cricket waistcoats! With everyone falling over themselves to get one now though, I'm guessing they won't last till the sales.

More Cabourn stuff for sale from me as well. Some nice stuff.

Eric's right, I got the same story in Flannels in Liverpool.. The guy said they didn't want to upset animal rights' activists!

There's been grumblings for a couple of seasons that not all NC has been labelled correctly on the country of manufacture. I assume this is the start of truthful labelling. I spoke to an old NC retailer from Vienna and he was really angry about it a couple of seasons ago so he dropped the brand.

It would be illegal if true. A whole host of international trade law is built around that type of thing.

I'd find it crazy annoying if true!

...that would be a huge let-down and kill my attitude towards Cabourn. I don't just buy it because of what they do also because of how they do it...

The Italians have been doing it for years. They get product manufactured in China and then the very final stage - usually just the button placement is done in Italy and this qualifies the product to be labelled Made in Italy.

My wool Mallory came with a tag saying "Made in the UK with British fabrics." Let's hope that's the truth.
