So now that I'm decided on which pair I should keep, I have to return one pair to Red Wing in Amsterdam from London, Thing is, it's around £40 GBP just to ship it back to them! Do you think having both colours of the same boot is over kill?

Good Lord. If anyone is a size 48 this could be heaven. Great pieces (King George!) and prices are better than Marrkt deals.

Drew is the guy at NC that answer my email not me :). However here is my post fit of my soak for Mallory. I did a 10 minute soak in luke warm water. Wife helped me wring it out as much as possible and I laid it inside out in my washroom. Took about two day to dry

It shrank about an 1.5 inch in the length and chest maybe about 0.5. Think the lapels look smaller too. Wore it today with a button up. Sure I can still layer a sweater. I notice extra material in the back, but not as much as before after the soak. I may have it taken in a bit. Please any feedback on my fit would be nice. Hopefully I didn't mess up my NC mallory :(

Also I notice how the jacket bellows / flairs out a bit at the bottom. Is there a way to suppress this a bit? Thanks

Agreed the King George looks tempting. I'm guessing its the same weight and similar construction to the camerman jacket?

irbe that looks really good to me. you could perhaps have it taken in a little around the body, but i would just wear it as it is for a while before you make up your mind.

^Thanks Robin for the input. Yeah I'm going to wear it for a bit and let the wool break in.

+1, That fit is perfect. A modern, super-slim cut would look incongruous with the Harris tweed, ventile patches and 60-year-old detailing.

Wow. That's a big bathroom you've got in your house.

I think it looks fine. I think it looks fitted too. I don't know your build, but it definitely doesn't look big at all.

as i said, it looks great to me as well, but irbe said he felt there was extra material at the back, and that it was flaring out a little. if this bothers him then a tailor could deal with it, i believe zissou did this and was pleased with the result. but i would wear it for a few weeks at least before taking a decision either way, he might come to like the extra room as it settles down.

I thought you all might be interested in some old Cabourn.

This is from a collection he did for Woodhouse in 1987

I have an early 1980s picture of a Cricket Club jacket from Harrods but can not find it at the moment.
