I'm trying to talk myself out of buying this but I'm looking for a vest and it's in my size. Is it somewhat warm and provides insulation? The pics make it look like it's unlined but it has a lining?

Regarding sizing, it seems to me this one is reatively short. If you own a vest measure the length of the back. I checked one of my vests and the center back length is 30". The ShipJohn vest in the link here is 26" at center back.

I’m 5’9”, 40ish chest, bought a Large. Could have worn a Medium, but wanted the option to wear a heavy sweatshirt underneath as it will cut the wind but it’s not warm like an actually insulated vest. If I wanted that I’d buy the Filson Tin Cloth insulated vest. Definitely would not want it to be longer, it wouldn’t look right.
