I posted my specs on my MTO double stuffed it should be within the first couple of thread pictures in the gallery. I put a big heel stack on the hnw last. Every big heel stack I see is the 55 last
Being able to change the heel stack size is only a few weeks old as an option. I doubt there is a high heel stack HNW out there is my point. The default has always been low stack block heel

I guess before I ask to change the order to the 55 last I have to figure out if a high heel stack hnw last would feel “off” or out of place because if it didn’t I would keep my order how it is.

I am new to this forum. I have a question. I ordered my BuilderPros on April 2nd. It showed to have an 8 week lead time. When should I expect to these to be started? When I look at my account, it says that the order has been finalized and waiting to be started. Thank you!

No, those go to the same place. My guess is that you are a week or so out but if you need it sooner feel free to DM me.
I received an email back saying they are a few weeks behind. As you can see in the attached photos, I am in desperate need of the boots. I am not on Facebook and I’m not sure how to DM. Thank you so much for responding back to my question so quickly.

Honestly, go out and buy another pair to wear in the meantime anyway. Even once you get your new ones there will be a break in period that you need to go through. You're going to need something to wear during that process, and those that you pictured aren't doing your feet any favors!

I agree with getting another pair of boots.

Those Salomon Quest 4D's you're wearing are great boots, but yours definitely look like they've given just about all they can give.

To be honest, I'd just buy another pair of Salomon's. They won't require any breaking-in, so they'll be a good pair to swap into whilst your Nick's are still new and stiff, and they'll complement your Nick's quite nicely, in that you'll still be able to wear the Salomon's when you're wanting anything that's more waterproof, or more suitable for long/ technical hikes.

Having two pairs of boots that specialise in slightly different things is always a good idea, and if you're already familiar with Salomon's, it's an easy pick-up.

I love my Salomon’s, but they changed them and the reviews were not as good as the ones I have. Mine are about 3 years old. I might try finding some old stock online.

I've got both, and to be honest, the new ones are really just more of a cosmetic upgrade than anything else. None of the tweaks really affect the on-foot feel or performance that much. Perhaps the reviews you've read are just disappointed that there's very little difference between the old and new models, if they were expecting bigger changes.

Fundamentally, it's the same boot; I've owned all four models of the 4D at one point or another, and they really only ever make little tweaks to what is already an excellent design.

If you really want the old model though and can't find it anywhere, Salomon make the 'Forces' variant; which is sold widely, including on Amazon. It's basically the same boot as the older Quest 4D 3, except is has leather loops instead of metal rings for the eyelets, less obvious branding, and more 'military appropriate' colour choices.

Other than that, it's the same boot, and people have actually been wearing the non-military version on operations for years anyway.
