Would one of the roughout work leathers be too thick/stiff for the Manito? None of the heritage leathers are quite what I'm after but I'm unsure if a leather that heavy would be good for a shoe.

I put about 7 miles on my "shoots" today. 5" Charley in work leather. No issue at all. Not quite a Manito but not quite a boot. To me, it's a bit easier on day one than waxed flesh as one example. Your experience may vary but that is mine.

1- I'm tempted to request handwelting, is there an upcharge?
2- Do the UL's have the option to come soft toe?

Ordered some MTO Urban Loggers during the Labor Day sale. Super psyched, but ended up switching to the try-on process since I was skeptical on the suggestion from the fit sheet (y'all were right, by the way). @Nicks Boots Shuyler , any chance I'm going to see them this year? After the back and forth on sizing, I didn't get the try-ons shipped back until 11/12. The order status says yet to begin production.
