How about a picture or two? I agree either the leather starts better or is selected better or more likely a combination of the two.I used a bit of Smith's Leather Balm on the heel counters of my Brown CXL Manito shoes. I don't think I'd use Smith's again for regular conditioning but the results weren't bad. I was hoping the heels would become more pliable and wrap around my feet better. So far, so good. The shoes feel a little more secure on my feet.
Do you guys get a thicker or different cut of CXL than other brands? These shoes have been kinda brutal to break in but in a good way. The creasing has been fantastic, BTW. Non of the bad grain break that usually comes with CXL.
