Nice color and leather.

Is there another difference between a work boot and a dress casual in sole construction, like additional mid sole layer? Since wearing a 55 last boot is so nice I want a high arch for rougher stuff. And since I need a v100 sole, I have to leave the casual heritage range.

Shuyler, do you have a pic of a chocolate boot like builder pro with vibram honey?

For us? Not really, if it’s the same last. The only difference would be if you get some of the certified boots which would give you fire-resistant thread and soles, but nothing in terms of long-term durability in terms of wear. If you went with the 67 there is a little bit more leather in the arch as it’s a bit higher than the 55. Let me see what I can pull up re: the chocolate.

Yep great that's how I understood it. Well so there is not much that speaks against the work boot route then. If you can't find a honey sole pic with chocolate no worries, found a couple of walnut that's pretty close.

If it was me, I would get a v100 8" Ranger if you wanted work leather (7/8 oz) or an Urban Logger if you wanted one of the heritage leathers like predator, chrome XL, etc.

..and you would be right. A ranger with lug sole and toe 4/high arch would work, but it's not an option so I need to bug you in dm sooner or later.

Nice!

A couple questions, can these be ordered without the logo on the side? I have never had a pair of Nick's before, should I order something off the shelf and return to verify sizing befors taking up a spot with a veg tanned order? Any chance of a natural veg tanned?
Your opinion is very interesting. However, please explain what you mean?

Ok, I’m dumb, the Ranger with a v100 is essentially a Builder Pro, so if you want the lug, I would just get that. I get ahead of myself sometimes.

No worries made the same mistake coming from a urban logger. The builder pro high arch even has the option for the honey sole without going full mto. The 10 inch isn't that big of a deal for me I can get used to that for sure

You can get it with 8” if you prefer, too.

I got a sample of some conditioner with my Manito shoes. I haven't needed it on my shoes yet but I used it to condition a leather coaster I have and I got nice results. Where can I buy a full size thing of this stuff? The little tub says Nicks on it with no other branding.

I don't know for certain this is the same but I would assume so. Good stuff.. darkens initially a bit but my experience is it returns to color with use.
