Question for @Nicks Boots Shuyler and anyone else that can help.

I am interested in the Nick's Americana boots.

I'm a shade under a 10 on the printable Brannock device on the Nick's website. My foot measures 26.6 cm long.

I wear a size 8.5D in Red Wing Iron Rangers and Alden Indy and a size 9D in Wolverine 1000 Mile boots.

What size would you recommend for the Nick's Americana boots?

Thanks!
Hello! It fits similarly to the Iron Rangers in my experience. I think you should be good with an 8.5D assuming you are happy with the IR’s fit.

Thank you for that feedback. If I end up needing to do a size exchange, does the wait time start all over again?

Any updates concerning the Latigo boots? It's been 4 months noch since order.

This will probably be my first pair of Nicks. Will it be available with a lug sole? Looking for a souped-up version of the RW Roughneck.

Yes. It will be fully MTO-able. It is basically the most souped up moc toe you can get.

Brand new here, there's a lot of great info, I'm hoping someone here has an opinion on my situation.

I have a pair of Iron Rangers (9D) and Blacksmiths (9.5D). My Brannock is about 10.5 on one foot, and just a bit over 10 on the other, and the ball of my larger foot is about 10.25 inches, and 10.125 inches on the smaller foot. I was fitted at a Redwing store, and was assured that the leather in the Iron Rangers would stretch so I should go a little smaller than what I did with the Blacksmiths.

Right now I wear a pair of smartwool medium weight socks with the Blacksmiths or I feel like my foot is swimming, and I wear thin dress socks with the Iron Rangers, or I feel stuffed in too tight. In both cases with the Redwings, if I am standing in them all day, my feet swell and eventually feel packed in, especially the Iron Rangers. I have never had any issues with hammer toe, but I also work mainly on a flat concrete floor, so, i'm not going up and down hills at all.

What I'm looking for is actual arch support, and I have noticed over 3 years of wearing these Redwings, that my feet hang over the footbed on either side, though I think the leather is soft enough that it has stretched to fit my foot. If I pay attention to it, I can feel that they are hanging off the footbed mainly on the pinky toe side, but it's not terribly uncomfortable. Recently I have begun to notice some numbness on the outer edge of my big toes, and to some degree my pinky toes on both feet.

It looks like I'd be a 10E in a 55 last at Nicks, I placed an order last night (specifically the Robert in 1964 Brown, with an 8" height). I confirmed the sizing with Majka (sp?) on the phone at Nicks. I'd really rather not get into the boot-try-on process if I can avoid it. I do not doubt that Majka knows what he's talking about, but i'm just nervous about it, for obvious reasons... does the 10E sound like it's in fact the right size for me? Any help is appreciated. I've included pics of my blacksmiths, and how the leather has stretched to allow my foot to hang over the bed.

There is some subjectivity on this, obviously, but I would put you in a 10E, personally, unless you prefer a tight fit, in which case I'd go 9.5E. I'm sure some of the other contributors have a POV, as well.

My thought is that I can't go too wrong with a slightly larger fit, as I can correct it with some thicker socks, but if it's too small, that's harder to correct. I'm looking to not have that end-of-day-and-i've-been-standing-forever-on-concrete-and-my-feet-are-swollen-and-filling-my-boots-like-a-sausage-casing feeling... you know, the ol' EOFDAIBSFOCAMFASAFMBLASC.

Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. I went up a half size overall in my footwear a few years ago and it has dramatically reduced break-in pain for me. I now prefer a little more room.
