There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Oh and at 19 weeks I was fed up and called to get my money back they said I can't the boots had been started. If I could go back I would have demanded my money back. Yes the boots are great but you can't treat customers like that. F nicks

While a long wait is frustrating, when they deliver a top notch product that is made individually for each customer...I find it to be worth the wait.

Here's mine after getting very minimal wear so far this summer. While I'm not ready for winter, I am ready for boot weather. I want to see what these guys look like once really beaten up.

That's the Dark Olive Chromexcel that I got through Vermilyea Pelle, Here. (mine were customized to be 6" and have a matching tongue).

Better photos with 2 pairs of White's Bounty Hunters as reference.

Does anyone have any good images of Nick's cap toes? I love a good cap toe, but White's' cap toes so often looked "off" in one way or another, so I was hesitant to order one through them. I'd love to see how Nick's does theirs.

    Here's an album.

Also, I skimmed / read through most of this thread, and while I caught a few mentions of different toe numbers referring to the last shapes, I couldn't find a lot of info. Can anyone give a little explanation of Nick's lasts and toe shape numbers?

Edit: I found the toe shapes in the FAQ. I'm still wondering if the toe shapes each have a different corresponding heel height. Often if you go with a last with a narrower toe, the heel tends to be higher (eg a Packer boot). I've very curious about the #2 toe - does anyone have images? Cathpah - are yours a #3?

Would you guys go lined or unlined for a casual boot in natural cxl?

Unfortunately, I just don't know. Mine were built on the HNW last, but that's about all I know.

I'd go lined. My White's Bounty Hunters in #8 CXL (pictured above) are lined CXL, and they'll break in very nicely. I see no reason to not get them lined, unless you live in a really hot climate...and even then, I don't think the lining makes a whole lot of difference as far as heat goes.

I am placing an order today for a pair of 8 inch Nick's in brown waxed flesh from Dustin of Vermilyea Pelle. Let the waiting begin.

I saw on Nicks Instagram that they are now running at 6 weeks. Dare we get our hopes up?

Could someone comment how Nicks compare size wise compared to Whites?

One can also get Nicks used and have them rebuilt your way, U save big bucks over retail or spec shop pricing.
