1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Wish I could show this to my cat and make her understand how useless she is compared to other animals.

I tried to train my cat to use the toilet after seeing some YouTube videos. And she trained me to clean her sandbox more often.

The shoes look wonderful. Didn't realize you were in NYC, I'll have to schedule something next year when you come back!

Oh no you didn't, San Francisco

Been out looking for one in action, no joy. Closest so far has been a guy on Market Street with a stuffed rabbit toy on a leash. He atarted asking for payment when I took my phone out so I couldn't get a picture, sadly.

There's usually a guy with a monkey riding a dog around union square.

Finally made it home after a few hours delay getting out of SFO, what a great trip though. I saw some beautiful new places, met some great new people and gained whole lot of weight. I must thank everyone who made it out to see me, and made my journey across America as special as it was. I couldn't have asked for a better maiden voyage to be honest.

Already looking forward to coming back next spring, but first I've got a whole heap of lasts to get through so no chance of a day off for me tomorrow!

You better take the day off tomorrow, as you probably will be dreadfully jet-legged! :D

I really enjoyed meeting you, Nicholas. It was educational and fascinating to talk with you for the hour. I'm looking forward to my last and to the shoes you build off it. I'm glad you made it safely home!

Great to meet you too, the pleasure was all mine. I hope your half marathon went smoothly, I'll have to make sure I pack some running shoes for next autumn.
