I usually wear loafers and rotate b/w red calvin klein collection, brown suede wingtip ndcs, camel suede guccis, hazelnut suede gucci loafers, black pebble grain guccis again (this was a couple years ago when they had nice looking shoes). Still looking for the perfect black lace-up and some poells.

Damn. Pretty soon body armour will become a popular fashion.

thanks for the tips guys, but im not really looking for dress shoes. maybe boots might work. i'll look into that. also, the chucks sound like a good idea. though, the Prada and Miu-Miu is something WAY out of my range.
btw for some background info im a 19 y/o college student that doesnt get too dressed up going out, but i'd still like to look nice. i used to wear large and x-large t-shirts with BAGGY ass pants (cringe). stuff that came out of a rap video. i still kick myself to this day.

on another note: i was just cruising through gq.com and i saw this article on adidas samba's being worn regular or dressed up. anyone have experience with those?

They remind me of skater shoes. Skater companies make some fairly dressy-casual clothes though, so that could work.

You could try sambas/lavers/stan smiths, or pumas in dark suede colors...

Oh, well then. Just go for low-key non-poofy sneakers in subdued colors. Adidas is doing great things these days. Leather converse are pretty classy without looking like you're trying way too hard.
