Looking for pics of ties to go with white shirts with blue stripes. I usually wear a blue tie with stripes in it and most people I work with say stripes and stripes dont go together. I tell them it must be an old rule because I bought the shirt and tie together, the same style on the mannequin at the store. Thanks.

I would say go with something dotted or textured. A white shirt with blue stripes is pretty neutral so you have a wide selection of color ties to choose from.

Just because the mannequin had it on doesn't mean it works.

But you can do stripes on stripes so long as the spacing is noticeably different between the two.

But as CA suggested, go with different textures and patterns.

I think a solid grenadine would also work nicely.
