I just got 10 very nice pairs of shoes in and thought I'd let you guys have first shot at them before I list them on ebay this evening.

EDIT - NOW ON EBAY, LINKS BELOW

First some Bonora's. Welted by hand. Comparable in terms of construction to Mantellassi's top line, except better leather and last shapes IMO. Current retail is appx. $795 and they are a deal at that price.

All shoes but the one I like in my size (I'm an 11).

I'm fond of those StefanoBis.. look like some Berlutis I was watching on eBay.

That's because they are the same shoes. StefanoBi makes them for Berluti.

Beautiful shoes btw - no size 9.5 :-(

Ironically, I figured that after I read RJ's treatise on Berlutis in the Men's Clothing forum.

As far as I know there are no shoes that are sold both as Stefanobi and Berluti. Berluti has its own designs. Not to say that some Stefanobis don't have a similar design.

Similar indeed. That loafer, despite its very distinctive styling, bears a striking resemblance to the so-called Warhol loafer by Berluti that ArtisanFan posted in the shoe Appreciation thread.

It's name and supposed history however would suggest that Stefanobi was inspired by the Berluti design rather than vice-versa.

The Warhol seems to be a stylistic interpretation of the original Andy loafer, so it might have been inspired by a Stefanobi design, or vice-versa, who knows...
