I placed an order for these beautiful Edward Green Kentmere boots through Skoaktiebolaget in January and I paid 25% plus future shipping costs on the order (approximately $300). Delivery is expected on these boots in early October, wherein I'll owe the remaining 6000 SEK for the boots and 800 for the EG shoe trees. As of right now, 6800 SEK is approximately $800.
I've spent the spring figuring out that I have a lot of overlap in my shoes and I think these boots are too similar t other pairs I own. As a result, I'm looking to sell my position in the order to another large-footed boot person who would find more use for these boots than I think i will.
Delivery is not expected for a few months (so I can't send you the boots right now), which would allow us enough time to work with the helpful folks at Skoak to "switch" the order to you. If we do that, then I'd just ask to be paypaled $300 (which is what I paid in February). If we can't switch the order officially, then we can conduct the transaction in October and I'll cover the shipping to you.
Features of this boot:
Model: The Kentmere is a unique EG model; It's an anniversary edition (per Gabriel at Skoak) which I think will only be available via MTO in the future (at least via Skoak)
Last: Crafted on the new 72 last; rounded toe model most similar to EG's 202 last (I took my Barrie size)
Leather: Brown Utah calf, perfect "country boot" texture
Sole: Ridgeway rubber sole
Size: 12UK
Width: E (standard width in UK sizes)
Price: $300 + switching the order through Skoak to you or $1100 and I'll ship you the boots when I receive them!
Wooden EG shoe trees are included in this order. If you'd prefer not to buy them, we can reduce $100 from the price (approx. 800 SEK).
Note that Skoak is likely going to be increasing their EG prices to US customers in the coming weeks (due to EG policy) and boots like these will cost what boots offered by Leffot, Khaki of Carmel, etc. charge (approx. $1500). This is a really incredible price for a really gorgeous and unique model.
(It's the brown boot, not the navy one.)
