Well, now all of the whiney Rangers fans can STFU about lousy calls. [IMG]

Sabres lose 2-1 to the Rangers, the officials, and themselves.

Whiney? ha ha. Well, now you know how I feel about that "kicking" interpretation. The Hockey Gods work in mysterious ways.

Buffalo should have swept the Rangers, I am as surprised as anyone here.

Yup, Whiney. Every Rangers fan I know around here is still complaining about every little call. I'm whiney this morning, but mostly because Buffalo needs to put the purses down and play some hockey.

BTW, they got the kicking call right.

Buffalo played a good game finally. It was nice to see actually, but holy crap Lundqvist! I had thought he was overrated going into the series, but last night proved without a doubt that he is outstanding in the net. I was about to cry until Drury scored that goal and Max in OT was just icing on the cake [IMG]

Looking for the Rangers to fight hard in the Garden.

Game 5 was painful. I really thought the Rangers were going to pull that one off, in spite of playing on their heels for most of the game. They couldnt hang on for 7.7 seconds? Way to play not to lose.

I salute Buffalo for its aggressive pressure throughout the game.

Lundqvist is a god. No doubt about that. He was brilliant, even in the loss.

These "last second" goals are really breaking my boxes -- first the Sharks, and now the Rangers [IMG]

Nice high scoring end to the series. At least there weren't any controversial goals this time around. Hopefully NYS is unified behind one team now [IMG]

Oh man... Buffalo vs. Ottowa. That has the potential to be an absolutely epic series.

This series vs. Ottawa will be legendary. There's already plenty of animosity left over from the battle royal in February. Both teams are flying high after their respective series. I say Emery will be the deciding factor as to how the Sens fare. He's been hot the last few games, but he can be rather spotty at times.

I'm going to make the pilgrimage to HSBC arena and take in a game with the other 5,000 fans hanging outside. I'll post pics if I can.

My condolences to Odoreater, if you're still on this thread. It wasn't meant to be.

The sad part is that Marty and probably Peters won't be involved in this series. Their fights with Emery were great fun to watch. Ottawa scares me, they have the ability to score. Anticipating a high scoring, exciting series.

Nice win for the Wings last night. Next round will be interesting.

I hope the Rangers get smart and sign Drury, man was money against us.

A power-less power play costs Buffalo game one.

The Alfredsson-Heatley-Spezza line needs to be shut down (2 G, 2A).

Emery isn't that great, but we only put 20 shots on him tonight. That's unacceptable for the most potent offense in the Eastern conference.

The Sabres play best when they're behind. Let's see what game two on Saturday brings.

Yup. If the Sabres can't start converting on the power play, then this series is over. And obviously, they need to find a way to control Ottowa's first line. Disappointing game [IMG]

Saturday's game helped to prove this point even farther. We just completely lose it when we get a man up, it's like they're scared to take advantage of them missing players. Series is over if we don't win tonight.

I've been too despondent to post. Let's go Buffalo.

I'm with my fellow Rochesterians. There's not been much to say. GO BUFFALO!

Ottawa can't win, because Ottawans don't deserve it. Nothing against the players, but this is just not a hockey town. If Ottawa did win the cup, the party would be over by midnight, because everybody "needs" to get up to go back to their government jobs at 8 AM. *yawn*

Move the team to Winnipeg or something - a city that would appreciate a cup winning team more than Ottawa. I'm sick of these Sens flags on cars, and boring "Go Sens Go" chants. I'd cheer for any Canadian team, even Toronto before I cheer for Ottawa.

    Detroit will win. [IMG]

If Buffalo manages to recover, which I hope they do when the game starts in a couple minutes, there'll be rioting for days. First major sporting championship after who knows how many super bowls/stanley cup appearances. I know that I'm going to be partying every night if we get to the cup. [IMG]
