There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

its not like the Caps are dominating, because they aren't, bt the Rangers have no killer instincts right now.

Is it already determined it will be a saturday night game and not an afternoon game?

    holtby :slayer:

in other news my hometown london knights are one win away from the memorial cup. they are young and this year was expected to be a rebuild... but they ended up first and are now that close. all on the back of an undrafted goaltender.

yep, and the one mark is now gm/coaching. its really something how much nhl talent has gone through the knights - in the rangers/caps alone, there's del zotto, girardi, wideman, erskine and carlson and hunter has coached all but erskine. hopefully they can take over windsor's spot as ohl dominators for the next few years. im really interested to see how max domi pans out - he got a hattrick in his first game as a 16 year old in the ohl and has been pretty strong all season.

hoping for portland and london to make it to the memorial cup - baertschi is on portland and has been lighting it up and considering he's pretty much all the flames have in terms of can't-miss prospects, i'd like to see how he does.

so... braden holtby is now a father?

he is either going to beast on everyone game seven or fold completely. i don't know how you'd have any emotion or gas left in the tank for a game 7 after the birth of your firstborn.

    either way, what a story.

Well, it's not like he didn't know it was coming. I bet he'll be fine. This isn't a guy who gets rattled easily it seems.

I guess we'll see if he can successfully wrap things up in game 7.

The Caps keep inventing new ways to lose soul-crushing Game 7s. :(

Holy shit...what a game. Now we get Uncle Daddy and the Devils. Wonder how much a series like this one coming up will impact a player like Parise, who is going to be recruited heavily by the NYR.

I especially like what Tortarella said at the post game...that this is still a work in progress. We are still very young, with a smattering of vets (Richards, Gaborik, Henrik). These guys can be a force for years to come, especially considering whats coming up (Kreider, already here, Mcilrath, Borque, StCroix, and JT Miller). We also have Sauer, who was one of our best d men to start the year, who hopefully can come back. One more free agent scorer and we'll be in great shape. Maybe he says it to take pressure off his guys as well, as the pressure to win here in HUGE, but I love it...
