    Disclosure: Seahawks fan here.

Sherman - love the player on the field, hate the player when he opens his mouth. Tiresome, classless. Needs to grow up.

Once all is said, he is the best corner back in the game whether you like him or hate him.

Seattle did not play well yesterday but what does that say about San Francisco when you can't win that game when given every possible screw up going your way?

Kaepernick was brilliant in many ways, but when he fails he seems to do it in spectacular fashion. The INT to Chancellor was a terrible throw and the decision to go to Crabtree when one on one with Sherman was bad enough then another under thrown ball.

What a contrast in the post game with Sherman and Wilson on the panel. Could not be more opposite.

The worse decision on that last play was lining Crabtree up against Sherman in the first place. They'd been lining their 3rd WR against Sherman and it was getting Crab open, then when they really need to go to him, they decide to test Sherman?

Uh oh, it looks like A.J. McCarron is not going to participate in the Senior Bowl now there will be no way for NFL teams to evaluate him for the draft.

I've always found it interesting how much draft boards change between the final game of the college season and draft day.

Crabtree is a smaller, possession receiver. If anything, you want to send Boldin in the end zone for the fade route.

The NFL is a league that drafts for physical attributes (at many positions at least). If a guy comes into the combine and blows everyone away, he'll rocket up the draft board, especially if he is a defensive player.

In the NHL and MLB, and even to an extent the NBA, you already have a better idea what you are getting.

I understand why it happens. But being an Eagles fan, I'm still not over getting Mike Mamula-ed.

I don't understand why people are crucifying Kaepernick for throwing that ball. He threw a pretty solid pass (underthrown by a hair but not much) to his best receiver who was covered by the Hawks best corner. Sherman made a spectacular play to turn back to the ball and get a hand up for the deflection. Aginst most corners in the league, that would have been a TD.

I'm sure The 49ers will replay that one in their head all summer, but it was a fairly well thrown ball that was just defended very well in the back of the endzone.

Also most linebackers wouldn't have tracked that ball all the way into the endzone. Even with the great play by Sherman, that easily could have just been an incomplete pass.

Kaep is getting crucified because of the usual Monday Morning QB syndrome of American media, especially after throwing a couple other picks. You end a game on an INT, you're going to get questioned. They do it to Manning, Brady, anybody. Nobody really like admitting that shit happens in football, even the best players get picked sometimes.

He doesn't deserve flack for the last interception. That was a great play by Sherman.

Kaep's pick right after the fumble recovery on the goal line stand is inexcusable though. Nothing about that throw made sense at all.

That throw was awful and the fumble before it was also bad. He was running around all game with the ball at his waist and eventually they stripped it. I wasn't surprised when it happened.

In general though, Kaepernick being drilled for his errors while Andrew Luck somehow gets a free pass for throwing a boatload of interceptions doesn't make much sense to me. I'm not much of a Kaepernick fan but I think he managed the GB and Carolina games well and managed the Seattle game well until the fourth quarter.

Because you can't throw an interception in that situation. It's like getting picked off first base to lose the game when you're the game-tying run. Kaep had an issue with underthrowing balls all game (nearly had a third pass intercepted by Earl Thomas), and he had to make sure that Crabtree was the only player who could make a play on the ball.

I like to imagine Richard Sherman going apeshit after every difficult situation in his life:

yelling at the exam proctor after answering the last question of his SATs.

yelling at people in sidewalk after squeezing into a difficult parallel parking spot

yelling at his feces right before he flushes.

yelling at a torn hymen while the girl has the same look erin andrews had

i dont really hate his post game interview but everyone keeps saying, oh well he just made the play of his career and they shoved the mic in his face less than 5 minutes later..... that is a load of crap. thousands of players have had mics shoved in their faces in identical situations and not gone ape shit.

he didnt curse in his little, im the greatest/crabtree is garbage, tirade. which means that either the whole thing was calculated or he was just able to hold back the profanity in the heat of the moment. either way, i thought it was just dumb.

i know a lot of people liked the fire and passion, and many feel that it really was NBD. i dont think it was objectively bad or good. it just was what is was and some people thought it was repulsive and some thought it was cool. im closer to the first camp. but im vanilla.
