Absolutely not. We're 3 years removed from a Superbowl win. First clean house on the defensive side; start with Dom Capers, following up with his terrible toupee, then draft some DBs to replace our terrible secondary. I can't believe how awful our safeties are. Rarely did I see them make a play. And besides Sam Shields and Tramon Williams, both of whom can play well occasionally, every other cornerback is a liability. I'm not surprised Hyde dropped that interception, Bush failed to contain Kaep on that scramble, or whoever failure of a DB let that game winning FG go through his hands.

We also need to get new trainers and medical staff. Year after year we're decimated by injuries. It's ridiculous.

I couldn't believe he missed the block. The guy was right there and could've save the season for Green Bay.

He was 2 feet away, there's no way he could have adjusted fast enough. It was just bad luck.

Idk, when I saw the play it looked like the ball went through his arms when he stretched out.

The HC owns the assistant coaches. If Capers is still there, it's by McCarthy's choice. The same can be said for the disastrous O-Line philosophy where everyone gets trained on all the different positions but never master's their own.

Realistically though, the problem is on offense. When you devote more than 1/4 of your Salary cap to your QB, it implies certain other changes - that your D will be weaker. The normal solution is to have your offense score bunches of points early in the game to make the other team's offense one dimensional.

GB consistently fail to score points against quality opposition. They especially fail to score them early. For the season:

    Q1 Points: 78
    Q2 Points: 105
    Q3 Points: 113
    Q4 Points: 118

You will not win the games you want to win unless you can get on top early.

It did go through his arms but all you can do in that situation is hold your hands out, dive and hope for the best. The ball comes off the kickers foot too fast to make any adjustment at that distance.

You can't accurately assess the Packers' offense this season based on Rodgers being out for 7 games. They're lucky they made the playoffs at all, as would any team that missed their franchise QB for half a season.

Capers huge problem is he can't adjust to his personnel. His schemes were fine when they had Woodson and Nick Collins in the secondary, but now with significantly less talented players there are far too many holes and lack of situation awareness.

That ball was about 6 inches from him blocking the kick with his face.

When I saw him get the jump I thought for sure we were looking at overtime.

That scoring pattern was also true prior to this season.

I'm no fan of Capers - he's predictable like Wade Phillips, but GB's problem is on offense. GB's offense way underperforms for it's level of talent and the draft picks spent.

Nice win for the Niners. I'm pretty happy with the whole team, the defense did not give up to many plays and the offense stepped up just enough. Special teams was solid and the coaching good, just an all around nice game. I would have loved to win by 10 but on the road against AR in the playoffs, I'll take anything I can get.

Crabtree was huge. Its great to have him back alongside Boldin. Also nice to see Kap take the breaks off his run game, leading rusher for either team.
