Agree that Saban won't go back to the pros. He needs to be treated like God too much, and he won't get that in the NFL

I think it's gotta stick in Saban's craw that he is one of the best college football coaches of all time, but was a failure in the pros. Just like for Pete Carroll. Of course, most NFL teams that fire their head coach have a less-than-ideal situation, so it would take the right opportunity (and lots of $$$).

Saban does like to be paid. Don't know that he'll go the NFL while his buddy Bill B is there. I expect Saban to go to TX, or at least use it for more money at Bama.

Agree that Shanny will be gone - should have been fired after last season, IMO. Not sure if there is anyone interesting in the college ranks.

    Yes, they are imo.

Don't think these guys get the credit they deserve - maybe because they have no history and are out on the west coast. But they are 11-1 and have not played one game with all their best players available.

A couple crappy games where they still got the win but still they seem to have the whole package.

Brought to you by a completely biased life long Seahawks fan praying for the 37 year drought to end.

They are a squad who just barely defeated the St. Louis Rams (did not deserve the laurel of victory).

Unless they manage to go 1-3 down the stretch and either Carolina or New Orleans win out (obviously only one can since they play each other twice), Seattle going to get the #1 seed in the NFC and have a great home field advantage. Every championship caliber NFL team pulls out a victory in a close game or two when they didn't play particularly well and Seattle is no different. I strongly dislike Pete Carroll but cannot deny that he's managed to do good work.

That said, it really doesn't matter who the best team is now. Only thing that counts and who the best team in January and early February is.

That's only if they're playing the Patriots.

Saints and niners put up a combined 10 points in Seattle
Tampa bay did better in 2 quarters

I'm don't think Seahawks are winning the sb though

Saban's biggest gifts as a coach are in recruiting and getting his 5* players to buy into his system. Recruiting is obviously irrelevant in the pros and the approach for getting pro players to buy in is different than in college (especially when you can just swap out a replacement 5* guy). The things that make him special in college just aren't there for him in the pros.

The Jax attendance is pathetic. At least even when the Texans play like crap, the stadium still sells out.

Clearly the solution to that would be:

    1. Move the franchise to London
    2. Sign Tebow

Just read that after the latest positive PED test in Seattle Sherman of all people addressed the team and said that they would leave behind anyone who took illegal drugs. WTF?

Fuck that team and fuck Pete Carrol. It seems that institutional rot follows him. They're trying to get a DUI against Lynch dismissed as well. I think he has actually achieved the impossible, I'll actually root for the Patriots over someone should they ever play.
