1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

RE: the falcons. It's the lack of pass rush that's killing them. No replacement for abraham.

That and Matt Ryan has not passed the eye test once this year. (May have done OK during Pats, can't remember).

What saddens me most about the Falcons (not a Dirty Birds fan) is that my city is now finally associated with a failure.

I don't think the city needed the falcons help for that

The Colts luck ran out (no pun intended). They haven't played well in many recent games, but seemed to always find a way to win. Didn't happen this time. :(

It's being reported that Ed Reed is being released from the Texans. He hasn't really done much this year and the way the season's going there's no reason to keep him.

While this (from Bill Simmons' column) may be in slightly poor taste, it made me laugh:

I mean, OF COURSE Trent Richardson's sex tape was going to be an orgy! Nobody has more experience having three people on top of him at all times. Do you think the tape starts with Trent seeing a pile of naked people, running into it and falling down? Did they have to stop filming because Trent couldn't find any holes? Thank you, thank you, I'll be here all week.

Chiefs' lucky streak of playing backup QBs ends. Broncos got this.

Ill take the W, but a bit too close for comfort. And way way too many dumb Denver penalties. Especially late in the game.

The return trip to Kansas City in a couple weeks will not be fun.

It didn't seem to be all that close to me, tbh. The Chiefs D showed up and stonewalled an all-time great offense for a few straight series in the middle of the game, but their offense couldn't do anything to capitalize against a supposedly suspect Broncos D. Once Manning finally broke through to give the Broncos 24, the Chiefs had no chance

I'm nervous to see our banged up defense try to stop Peyton, but always love watching Tom Brady vs. Peyton Manning. Football doesn't get much better, at least in this century. Of course we have to get by Carolina first.

Alex Smith has a record of 2-23, or something awful like that, when the opponent scores 25+ points. That's going to be a big problem for the Chiefs in getting past the Broncos this season.
