So, just bought my first pair of RM WIlliams boots. I read the manufacturer instruction on how to put them on i.e. using the tugs. But what about pulling them off, any best practices there? Just grab the heel and pull off?

Have you never had a pair of non-laced boots before? If not, proceed very carefully. With one hand hold the toe of the boot. With your other hand grab the heel tenderly and slowly coax your foot out of the boot - do not jerk the boot in circles to accomplish the task. You might want to sit down to do this; that way you won't have to hop around while pulling at the boot. Really, there is no secret. Secure the heel and toe pull your foot out. But do it carefully until the boots have conformed to your feet. Get a boot jack if you want if you want to accomplish the task standing up:

A long time ago since I had shoes without laces. Thanks for the info!
