Newbie question

So I am new to actually paying attention to to detail about suits. I stabled upon this forum and it's very insightful.

So I bought a Hugo Boss Key12/shaft2 navy dark suit for $245 after taxes (California). For the price I couldn't resist but I do see the backlash on Hugo Boss.

I only wear a suit about 4 times a year but want a nice charcoal suit. For the price of a Hugo Boss at $795 plus tax what other brands would u recommend. I did try the Nordstrom racks but no go on the color and at the price point of $795 I see people say u could get a better brand. What would you recommend
