Exactly what are generally the differences between a cheap ($20-40) article of clothing versus an expensive ($120-200) piece of clothing? Let's just keep this to contain shirts, hoodies, jackets, etc--nothing with legs since jeans are obvious when it comes to prices. Just curious what I'm getting when I pay $100 more for a designer hoodie over the AA I get on eBay.


It depends on the brand, sometimes there's hardly any difference, but if you find a good brand the difference is going to be in both the construction and materials, it'll last longer, look and feel better and generally fit better too.
