Hi guys. I am a newbie here and am just starting to change my wardrobe and I found this place. I hope I can find answers to many of my fashion questions here.

In the meantime I need some help. I would like to order a suit online but I have no idea what my measurements are. I need my height, chest, and waist. Can someone please recommend a place or a tailor that will measure me without me having to get something from them? I would really appreciate it, thanks.

In addition since I will be getting the suit online, I would like to get the alterations done at a tailor so I can have a nice fitting suit for much cheaper than something that is made to measure. So if someone could recommend someone in the NYC/LI area that would be great.

if all you are wanting is those basic measurements just get a friend to do. All you'll need is a regular, flexible measuring tape. For chest simply measure the largest part of your chest (do not include arms). Waist and height should be easy enough.
