I have a navy suit with a new pair of burgundy Allen Edmonds. I'm looking for a matching belt. Can you give me any suggestions? Also what other colors are ok to match with it besides burgundy?

Also, I'll probably wear an orange/blue striped Canali tie. Do you think the belt will clash with the orange?

Allen Edmonds makes burgundy belts. They often can be found at a discount on STP. You probably could also match it with a brown belt that has a reddish tint.
These sorts of questions are often tough to answer w/o pictures, but I would not think the belt and tie would clash.

AE charges something like $85 or $95 for their belts, so you could just order online from www.allenedmonds.com if you can't find your size on stp -> www.sierratradingpost.com (i think stp calls burgundy "dark red brown" or color 04 - the switchable buckle belt has burgundy in sizes 42, 44, and 46).

you could also just go to a marshall's or filene's and get a polo belt or something - usually $20, close enough. that's what i do.

it doesn't really look burgundy, but it's probably close enough if its what you really want. the metal hardware doesn't work for me, but it might for you.

I meant style, not color. I agree that color doesn't work.

well, if you got the right color, it'll work. the amount of hardware isn't for me (i prefer a very basic buckle style), but it is very popular among some in the business set. go for it if you like it - it's appropriate.
