I thought the article was very positive and I too am pleased that J and Steve B. are getting deserved recognition. Although I know these comments sound like an echo, it's the only way of transmitting a toast on the internet.

Ok, there will be no more defamatory posts about the various companies. It was funny, but just leave it alone. I don't need any lawsuits.

And BTW as of right now there have been ~13 new members signed up since the article came online. We'll see how many stay of course. Welcome new members.

1076 and counting... Added 18 in about 12 hrs... As I am not in a position to welcome as its not my site I will simply echo J's welcoming remarks; "welcome, new members." PS: Kinda weird to quote myself... [IMG] JJF

Wow. All that closet space. You can actually hang all of your clothes. Steve wasn't there a post about not leaving your clothes in the plastic bags when they come back from the dry cleaners. Nice hat. where did you get it? But wearing it inside your closet? Andy seems to have forgotten his collar stays. I don't think andy has ever thrown out anything he ever bought. All four gentelmen are using pocket squares. Do I see a new trend starting here? Carl www.cego.com

I hear what you are saying - that the article does not touch on all the aspects of the forum. But I do think that the article does describe very well the tenor of the forum at this particular time. There are in fact a lot of professionals on this forum, and a large number of the students on this forum plan on a business or professional career. There has been a recent emphasis on the minute and intricate details of shoe and suit construction, and many of the recent threads have been about classic rather than contemporary style.

As for the bargain thing - it was inevitable that it be mentioned. There are in fact a large number of recent threads to this effect.

And thank you for mention, but there are others, BrianSD, MikeC, LabelKing, etc... who are similarly interested in streetwear and happenings in the designer world.

I do think that the article points out an important gender disctinction: women interested in fashion (there are of course exceptions) are superficially interested (even if you go to a dedicated site like thefashionspot.com, most comments are limited to "Oh, I love it" and "Great stuff".)

Great article. Nice to see J, Steve and Andy get the credit they deserve. Cool that they picked up on the Larry Kudlow thread - and, whew, no mention of Lakshmi Mittal [IMG] I'm going to have to run out and pick up a hard copy of the paper today. Bradford

We should have had the reporter try to get verification on the whole Mittal/Kalra issue.

Nah... It would have cheapened what this forum is all about. Â Thankfully that seems to be behind us. JJF

We seem to be getting a bit more traffic. Nothing too crazy, but who knows, it could increase. The overall numbers are still low in comparison to a lot of other forums which have visitors in the thousands per day. I feel good about this whole thing. Perhaps we will start seeing better dressed people everyday.

Steve: Not just the plastic, but wire hangers.. "No wire hangers..." -- Faye Dunaway as Joan Crawford in the 1981 movie "Mommie Dearest". And re our photos: Â compare our tie knot dimples.. Â Not to mention that we're both standing (jacket should be fastened) and inside (wearing a hat?). Â [IMG] As long as we're having fun.. Great story. Â Leonard looks marvelous. Â [IMG] Andy

I thought the article wasnt bad, now if only they would print it in a paper where I live maybe more people would dress in at least respectable clothes. Then I wouldnt have to worry about always sticking out because I am actually dressed decently while everyone else is in a polo and some baggy dockers at the best.
