Babbo is conspicuously absent. I think Dovetail deserves a star, and the deco/setting should set back Le Bernardin to 2 stars.

Michelin ratings are about as worthless as Zagats or yelp or JD Powers....

Don't know of a city on planet with more than 2-3 useful restaurants (despite claims of locals or travel addicts)

Would argue Bernardin consistently does best grub in town; convenient locale to Midtown offices

Daniel has the most powerful crowd of regulars for both wkday business dinners or daily grub...prob more billionaires in room every nt than any restaurant in world....OK not great food...convenient to relevant offices and homes

Per Se is just Laundry East but with far weaker produce (no access to CA produce in NYC) and same lack of creativity....too long a format for most business dinners...and/or non-hard core eaters

Anything south of Bernardin is too B&T or infested w/penniless yuppies or underemployed trust fund kids

I could not disagree more. I gave it two solid chances (I really wanted a decent local neighborhood destination without dropping below CPS -not counting JG and CC crew), and was seriously disappointed both times. The decor is also seriously lacking imo.
