Johnnie Walker is having taste testing events at their "pop up' (I'm getting sick of the term) location on West Broadway near Houston in New York City.

I'd post a link, but the JW website sucks operationally. Too much work to get to the event info.

I went to such an event years back... it was great. You get a taste of each line along with background, guidance, and stories. Definitely a fun thing to do. (Red, Green, Gold, Blue, Black)

Recommended. (I hate shilling for companies with lame ass websites, but this event is good)

This seems like a terrible idea to me. People might realize they prefer the taste of red/black over the more expensive colours.

It's not blind. They explain what is in each one and tell you what to notice.. .from the single malt to the blends.

I prefer the taste of gold over blue. Blue is much more expensive. I still got my dad a bottle. But for special occasions I drink gold, not blue.

People might like red/black vs. blue/gold. The events are fun and educational.

I went to one a few months ago. The waitresses are hot. Macallan does this from time to time too. I find that there's usually too much talking and not enough drinking.

QFT. It was a pleasant time, certainly worth the price tag of $0. Go with friends if you can.

Balvenie is having a similar shindig in DC next week; my kid brother and I are attending that as well. Should be fun.
