1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

They started doing that because some Drumohr items were made in Scotland and had English sizing and some were made in Italy with Italian sizing, so e.g. a size 50 could either fit really well or be enormous. Most of the Scottish stuff is long gone, but for awhile it provided a great opportunity as those sweaters got marked down to ridiculous levels, almost certainly due to confusion over sizing.

Ah, I had a feeling those Drumohr knits they used to have in sizes like 32 were not as small as that.

Expired. Any other codes? There's a current promotion of 15% off sale merch. You can stack that with a code but I don't have one :(

The 15% discount is automatically applied at check out. You can still enter a yoox code for further reductions. I just don't have a valid code. But thanks for your insight.

Actually stacking doesn't work anymore even with a code. Only the bigger discount will apply.

    Is that with a code?

I still have 'previewbf' applied in my basket which gives 20% off. I don't see any reference on the (UK) site to anything other than a 20% discount.

I'm very underwhelmed by the recent Yoox merchandise and more importantly, their pricing. I suppose however, with ecommerce booming, maybe others are just catching up and in many cases, beating Yoox. Farfetch has some far superior items and I am seeing Aspesi, Zanone and other sweaters, current season for $100-$150. I had one in my dream box, almost similar, with a higher cashmere content (100% versus 70%), for $410 + 30% off. For a business that bases itself on the wholesale, flea market, search until you pass out type of mantra, I am not at all thrilled with recent pricing. I've been a big proponent of Yoox and have done a great deal of shopping there over the years, seemingly landing me in a perpetual SuperStar state, but upon looking at recent orders, outside of a single Cruciani sweater, I haven't purchased anything since clearance (which should also be able to utilize codes in my opinion) and even then, it was a Caruso suit marked down to $300.

Having done a great deal of browsing these last few days, I've seen Z Zegna jackets on Barney's.com for $350, Matchesfashion, FarFetch and others just have some much better inventory and already very good prices. FarFetch is really winning me over more and more with their pricing and product inventory, despite the shipping costs and not so good customer service. When you can buy a $1300 pair of Cucinelli Boots for $600, that's pretty damn good to be honest. I think Yoox should drop all prices on every item by 30-40% in the next week, and then add another 25% off coupon and maybe then, they'll be back in play at the discount place to go.

One additional thing did occur to me also and I realized that many items are already coming out of the gate cheaper at the start of the season. I have 3 Herno coats/Jackets, one which is down and that was $850 a couple years ago (I paid $450 if I remember) is now $540 (and with sale about $320 or a little less) on FarFetch. Almost similar jacket. Yoox has a few Herno jackets, slightly different styles, but all over $400. Weird. Hasn't the Yoox model always been that you could find something on there for 40-50% cheaper, maybe a season or two old? I was fine buying last season or even two seasons ago Z Zegna sport coat for $300, but now I can find this season for $250 or $300 other places. I was also underwhelmed by the Mr.Porter sale too, now that I think of it. I have about a dozen items in my wishlist and none, but one, a polo, was part of the sale and 30% only? Eh. I mention this since both those groups are now one. Hmmm.

Yeah, but things change. Economy was bad a couple of years ago, especially online, so we got used to the crazy 70% off deals, not just on Yoox but other places too. Now that the economy is slightly better (?) people are buying more, also more people buy online in general, which means more online stores and increased competition, which means less surplus inventory for Yoox to buy. I don't think it's just Yoox that's having less discounts these days, it's everywhere. And I believe Yoox is still riding on their reputation of being a "discount store" but selling a lot of regularly priced items.

I don't think they should, not from what I'm seeing. The last two weekends in Europe we've had -20% codes, and I saw 1000 € Caruso suits in my dreambox get sold out for 600 €. Just a couple of days ago they got a batch of Cucinelli cotton sweaters for 220 € that sold out in my size on the same day. I have a lot of stuff in my dreambox that I'd buy if they'd drop to -70% but they get sold out for maybe -30%. People are buying stuff at higher prices, that's why it's hard to see good deals anymore.

Yoox has Cucinelli boots for 525 € too btw :)
