So my beeswax clarks are getting retired this year, after many solid months of service through chicago snow and rainstorms. But I'm looking for a new pair of winter boots that I can wear and still look presentable, which means no timberlands or bean boots or such. I would want the Tan Addison Wolverine 1000mile boots, but those are out of my price range. My second guess is these http://www.aldoshoes.com/us/men/mr-bs/shoes/90977762-montano/29 but I can't tell if the crepe will kind of peel off as it does with the clarks and allow water to rush in as it's being held down only by the stitching. Could anyone help me with some other shoe suggestions? They don't need to be waterproof, they just need to be able to take some obenaufs and trek through crap and daily abuse.
