So how will this work with the chromepak? After voting, will payment be collected immediately, or not until Viberg confirms the makeup? What happens to the $20 in the meantime?

afaik, we wont pay until viberg is able to confirm it can source the leather. Once this happens, we will place our orders and the boots will be made. I have no idea what happens to the $20 in the mean time.

The $20 will reside in the ether.

Have a vote for the chromepak, but also voted for natural cxl since it sounds like that makeup would be built faster. Assuming more than one model is built.

Who wants an $800 boot that "doesn't look bad?"

Ok, Mr. Literal, let me clarify for you: Once it breaks in it looks pretty good. You get the character and personalization of a worn boot, with a sleek, non-wrinkly toe.

Come on guys...we really going to let the most versatile boot fall off the list? I don't even know why we are calling it the Blue Collar Shitkicker - this boot is both dressy and casual! It's hard enough finding anything on the 110 last, but this won't come around anywhere unless we make it here. In all seriousness, please vote for this boot...it's just too badass to not be made:

There's already a guidi horsehide derby in the works. I'm guess it will be available in a month or two.

Sweet. Where did you come across this pic and info?

Also, doesn't it look like the pic I posted vs. the pic you posted shows two different toe designs? Unstructured vs. partially structured?

It appears that the pair you posted were unstructured, while the pic I posted were partially structured.

Thanks. Actually, looking through it, I found another angle of the pair I posted. Maybe they are partially structured, but the photo threw the perception off.

That looks like it's partially. I have the guidi horsehide boots, and the leather is very soft and thin. I don't think they would be able to do an unstructured toe.

Ooh, can you post a pic? Hard to find any without post-processing and set up. Curious how thin it is. One thing I noticed from my brief time owning a pair of unlined shell cordovan boots was how comfortable and nice it felt compared to my heavier, thicker CXL version.
