My cousin told me there's a show soon to debut, called "Straight Eye for the Gay Guy." I've never seen "Queer Eye"(I don't have a TV, and I'm not interested), but maybe I'll catch an episode of "Straight Eye" when I'm at his place. A question: Does anyone else think that there are way too many reality TV shows and that most of them sound like trash? I've largely avoided TV for some time, but it seems that even though many people complain about reality TV it nonetheless attracts quite a few viewers.

I believe that it's actually called "Straight Plan for the Gay Man" and will be on Comedy Central.

I saw an advertisement for the show that was pretty funny, i.e. they showed one of the "experts" making the point to the subject (victim?) that most straight men don't collect teacups.

Hoping the show will be as funny throughout, but I'm not sure how long it can last. Definitely not something to take seriously, but it could be a fun interlude.

Definately looks to be funny, I'll try and catch the first few episodes.

"No, no, no, straight men do not collect teacups."

Seriously, I thought that only my grandma collected teacups. Do you (unmarried) guys even own teacups? I drink my tea out of a mug.

A mug??? You pansy, real men drink it straight out of the pot, boiling hot. [IMG] Just kidding around, I use a coffee mug as well for tea.

actually, i think what is being referred to is "queer eye for the straight guy" will be doing a special one episode show called "straight eye for the queer guy" where they will have straight men teaching gay guys how to use power tools, fix a flat tire ..... and other manly stuff like that

    but i digress

Wow, that's really treading the lines between stereotypes and outright prejudice. On the other hand, I think Straight Plan looks very funny [IMG]

Oh to bring back the reality shows of yesteryear; Leave it to Beaver, Father Knows Best, Ozzie and Harriet and American Bandstand.
