New trend? selling ties that are too long?

I actually just ordered/received a skinny tie from saks, its the dior tie they had on sale for the longest time and i understand it is just a fashion tie.
but i opened the packaging and tried it on...
hell, it is like a foot and a half longer than my other ties...

there isnt really any labeling on the website nor on the actually clothing label stating that its extra long...
it looks fine if i do a heavier knot by wrapping it around a total of 3x instead of just doing the standard 6 in hand wrapping it around 1x - which on the skinny tie kind of looks like a normal tie knot though

Do what us short people need to do with all ties - tie it normally then tuck the narrow end into your shirt.

Do you have a tape-measure? Exactly how long does this Dior tie measure?
