OK so I'm planning to expand my wardrobe with some sports jackets, but where to start?
I shall be starting in the Autumn, and would like some sports jackets to get me started.

I understand that the navy blazer (reefer jacket) is a popular choice for a first sports jacket. What might be a good idea for a second? I'm 19 and in university so perhaps tweed would not be the right style just yet.

If it helps, my budget is about £80 per jacket and I live in England.

    Thanks.

    Corduroy?

Personally I don't think tweed or heavy wool jackets really have age connotations.

With your budget look to the B&S thread, ebay, charity shops or even TKMaxx.

Find a brand that fits then hit ebay. They typically go for cheap.

    +1

A great choice, especially for the fall.

I found a brown jacket with a subtle check over the top from Brook Taverner on a web site called Brand XS (small scale TK-Maxx type company). I might look into it. Here is the picture, but it's not very high res:

I got a Burberry navy blazer from Buying and Selling, hope it fits.
Might stalk that board for a brown jacket too, if I don't get the one I posted the link to.

    Other recommended colours for autumn?

H&M has a very nice (trust me) dark grey corduroy odd jacket that goes for only like 60 bucks. I definitely plan to pick it up.
