So AEs have some goodyear welt options but that means I'd be walking on flat leather in the winter right? So if I go with a rubber sole then the shoe only lasts as long as the sole does right?
Is there a better option for winter dress shoes? Usually here we get less than 6 inches except a couple days every winter season. On particularly snowy days I can bring my shoes separate of course. For those who don't know michigan but feel they can help me here 9 out of 10 days all the parking lots and sidewalks are shoveled or plowed to where you are just stepping on matted down snow or melting ice/salt and not "sinking into" snow per say.
