The second suit fits 100 times better than that first one. This is a step in the right direction.

Thanks for your reply it is much appreciated. Would you mind telling me why the second suit fits better than the first one?

Thanks!

Much better. The first, again, is simply too tight. The second fits much better.

The first suit was a joke, but maybe everyone has to go through buying a suit you'll never wear before you understand how to properly dress.

In a nutshell, the jacket fits properly with enough looseness to be funtional and the jacket has enough structure to make your slender frame look pleasing to the eye. Also the pants drape well and again has just the right amount of looseness to be functional, but enough taper to be fashionable.

Skinny suit + skinny guy = costume.

The skinny lapels on the second suit are also unflattering. They need to be another 2-3cm wider for proper balance. I'm also slim and wear a 36S/EU46. Try wearing clothing that broadens your physique.

The last suit I purchased was a little more than a year ago. Ralph Lauren Black Label was probably the best fit among the major OTC makers. I also wear a suit from Brooks Brothers Black Fleece, which is another defunct sub-brand. For odd jackets, I've been buying Paul Smith and LBM 1911. Eidos also makes nice suiting which flatters smaller guys, but they are rarely available <36.

Thanks for your reply. Arnt Ralph Lauren Black suits incredibly expensive? How do you find the fit of Paul Smith suits? I've always wondered how they fit!

Ralph Lauren Black Label used to retail for $1800ish-2k USD.
Brooks Brothers Black Fleece were $1600 USD (full canvas)
Paul Smith London are $1200-1500 USD (half canvas)

I've dabbled in entry level MTM around $800-1k, but found the fit and construction to be no better than a well fitted OTR brand. Paul Smith fits pretty slim, though there are multiple models. I'm partial to stuff carried by Barney's because I live in NYC, and they can be purchased at significant discount.

BTW, depending on your work environment, the natural colored soles really detract from the formality of your suit.

Why don't you give Suit Supply a try? Very nice suits at different prices to cater to different budgets.
