Do you actually own one or are you just making baseless claims? I have a Baroni suit and it hasn't worn out yet. On the contrary, it is extremely well made for the price and the fabric is beautiful. I've received multiple compliments on my "disposable" suit. Here is a review from Andy at Ask Andy. Good enough for me. http://www.askandyaboutclothes.com/f...336#post416336
I do own a few Baroni suits and the Ask Andy review is a paid endorsement (shill).

Zack, what did you end up buying and what are your conclusions? I'm actually in a very similar situation. I was at Frank Tailor this morning and looked at a few Baronis and second line that Bill (the son?) said was half canvased and just under 300.00. The Baronis are just under 400.00. I didn't have much time, so I just tried on the jackets and will be going back tomorrow. I also bought a Brooks Brothers Fitzgerald suit for 499.00 in their recent sale and I'm wondering whether to keep that or not, because I'm not thrilled with the fit. If I keep it, I will need to get it altered.

Can't comment on the others, but I just purchased a Benjamin for my first "real" suit and am very happy.

    Forgot about this thread.

I bought one Baroni suit at Franks to try it out. Frank and his son are very nice and very accommodating. The suit looks nice but I don't love the fit, I wanted them to take it in a bit more but Frank was against it. I trusted his recommendation but every time I wear the suit I just feel it doesn't quite fit me. This could just be the suit doesn't fit my frame or that the tailoring isn't quite as it should be. I'm sure If I went back Frank would make some adjustments, and I may do that.

With that said I have no intention of buying any more Baroni suits there as this test one just doesn't do it for me... I think my next will be a Benjamin to see how those are.
