New subforum...?

It seems like a good deal of the threads posted in Men's Clothing and Streetwear and Denim have to do with shoes, boots, sneakers, etc. So... shouldn't footwear maybe have its own subforum? I'm not sure if this has been asked before, but I did search a bit first. I think it'd also be a great opportunity for "Shoe Appreciation Central" and other such threads to be stickied without cluttering the top of Men's Clothing.

Thoughts?

I've often wondered this too. The majority of posts in this forum are about shoes. I think a Footwear sub-forum is a great idea, and I hope the PTB consider it. Hopefully we're not the only two who feel this way.

Oh, I hope not either. It's not that I'm like, "GRAHHH GET AWAY YOU'RE CLUTTERING THE PLACE WITH YOUR LEATHER SOLED SMUT!!!" I just figure it'd actually be more convenient. Plus, no one can argue with a stickied thread full of amateur eyelet action.

Oh man, if only I could edit my original post to include a poll now that you say "vote." Oh well.

Agreed - stops cluttering up the threads with non shoe related posts

But discussions about the design (i.e., not the construction quality) of shoes are so closely linked to their role as dress or street wear that I think taking these threads out of context like that would lead to a great deal of confusion.

Good point, that. Certain people think it'll lead to war between Men's Clothing and Streetwear.

An emphatic NO on my part.

I have never looked in the streetwear sub-forum, and I have no desire to have to wade through posts about trainers to read the threads about Lobb.

If we are to have a footwear sub-forum, lets have separate ones for the Clothing and Streetwear gangs.

I really do not want to have to move to AAAC, or even worse, the bloody Londonlounge.

Agree 100%. Exactly my sentiment. I hate scan thru posts of sneakers to find posts about EG, JL, Vass, Lattanzi.... to such an extend I may stop going to the new sub-forum. EG & JL and tailored clothings are really 2 inter-related disciplines, I don't think it's a good idea to separate them into 2 forums.

I can deal with the 2 separate shoe forums, one for streetwear and one for clothings but I am highly against a combined streetwear and clothing shoe forum.

We discussed it before, and it was generally agreed that splitting shoes off would make it very confusing where to post about which shoes with what, etc. And I think we have enough subfora overall as it is, personally.

Agreed. Settled. No more pointless discussions.
