To me, it looks like the bottom right cushion has a pull at the front. Maybe it's just me.

That's what I said in my first post:

Very nice, but is it just my eyes, or does the top of the middle back cushion and the front of the right bottom cushion look like it has some material pulling funny?

    Okay, it's not me.

Sorry Foof. I should have kept my mouth shut. [IMG]

I like it mafoofan, and personally think the new material looks better than the leather.

+1. Much better than the leather, and I suspect it will age better as well.

Okay, I don't know what you guys are seeing, but I can't spot any of it in real life. If only somebody else other than me could Foof the photos so that it would be more clear.

    (1) It looks like it came straight off the page of a DWR catalog
    (2) the feet are definitely losing their shine

    1. Every piece of nice furniture in our apartment probably did appear in a DWR catalog.
    2. The feet are awesome. We sprung for the satin finish. That's an extra hundred bucks. Big time, I know.

I thought your bed was Ikea?

How much furniture do you have? I was under the impression your place was modest in size, only 2k sq feet or so?

Pretty sure his place isn't half that big. I think NYC real estate are like 1k for every sq ft right?

So when are you going to cover it in plastic?

The bed is Ikea, but we don't consider it a 'nice' piece.

What fresh brand of hell is this? How much space do you need? My family of four lives in about 1700sf in San Francisco and it's more than enough for us--three bedrooms, double parlor, split bath, kitchen and dining room. I really don't want for more space. When I see 3500sf suburban houses it edges me towards a kind of vertigo. Out by where my parents live in Contra Costa County sports stars have huge compounds that remind me of motels. Where's the glamour in that?

For the record, while my own tastes are slightly more baroque, I too think the fabric is much nicer than the leather.

Ah, didn't notice the modifier. I have to agree with you there.

I guess I was wrong about the size of your place too, or so Greg and Randal seem to think.

We have a touch over 1,000 sq. feet.

    Looks very nice mafoofan. Congratulations!

Thanks. It was a giant headache (more so than any bespoke project!), but we're happy with the end result.
