New shirt option- Smyth & Gibson

Dear members,

I have just noticed that Smyth & Gibson, a shirtmakers who have only ever sold out of their boutique in Belfast have now gone 'online'.

These shirts are beautiful, I have 2, although I would say they were both bought in sales. I'm poor.


If you have been throwing £75 or £80 a shirt at Hilditch & Key for example, I would definitely try here instead, there is no comparison.

Any forum members already have one of these, or is it just me?

I'd forgotten about them. An ex-girlfriend brought me two of their shirts from a business trip to Northern Ireland about 10 years ago. A white classic and a blue linen casual shirt. I still have the linen shirt, I wore it on holiday this summer. They are very well-made.

no sleeve lengths specified unless I missed something on the site...

Unless things have changed greatly since i used to visitt the shop, the shirts come with very long sleeves and Smyth & Gibson will set the length for each customer.

i have one of these shirts. The quality is really good, but my size doesnt really fall under any of the sizes. They are plastic mother of pearl buttons like Zegna, but I like those actually. Thicker and robust than cheap shell
